CLUB NEWSLETTER
Greetings,
We are well into the golfing season now, and the early Summer sunshine has helped the greenstaff render the course in excellent condition.
Early June saw the Club's 30th consecutive Open Week with a very good entry of golfers from throughout the UK taking part.
It was a very successful week with positive feedback received on all aspects of the Club and Course.
In April the Club were pleased to welcome our new Stewards Steve and Hilary Turner who have settled in very well and if you haven't sampled their superb menu yet you have a treat in store when you do, as the food is of a very high standard and reasonably priced.
The Ladies Golf Union based at St. Andrews, have invited Tenby Golf Club to host the 2010 British Ladies Amateur Championship. The Management Committee are pleased to accept this honour, the event is scheduled for 18-20 August, 2010.
As was mentioned earlier the golf course is in magnificent condition a fact that is endorsed by Tenby featuring in two of the national publication 'Today's Golfer' magazine's Top Ten Course lists. One of the Top 10s was for 'Views to thrill', Tenby being chosen for "Great greens and amazing coastal views from virtually every single hole", as well as second place in the Top 10 2 fore 1 course listing.
There are quite a few club competitions coming up in the next few weeks and months, so keep your eyes on the main notice board/fixture list for the dates. Here's hoping for some more great weather for the rest of the Summer season.
