For those lucky enough to tee off after midday, the rain had eased back, but our early morning golfers truly braved a soaking.  Hats off to these dedicated players who conquered the elements, completing the full 18 holes with determination and grit!

We had an impressive turnout of 31 teams entering the tournament, with 4 teams regrettably withdrawing. Nonetheless, an incredible 25 teams of talented ladies, some journeying from as far as Radyr and Pontardawe, embraced the day and basked in the warm welcome from the Tenby Ladies section.

Now, for the moment you’ve all been waiting for… the results!

In 3rd place, we have the South Pembs Ladies with a solid 75 points.
Securing the 2nd place spot with an impressive performance and a total of 76 points, once again representing South Pembs.
But the ultimate victory goes to the Haverfordwest Ladies, who secured 1st place with an outstanding score of 81 points.

Special mentions to Mair Jones from Derllys Court for her longest drive on the 14th and Anne Evans from Pontardawe, who aced Nearest the Pin on the 6th. All participating teams were awarded with gift vouchers to celebrate their achievements.

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful ladies who dedicated their time to ensure everyone was well-fed and hydrated at the halfway house and Koffee Kabin, offering a delightful spread of sandwiches, cakes, and drinks. Your hospitality made a world of difference.

A round of applause for Captain Mick Seal and Keith Hubbard, whose unwavering dedication shone bright even in challenging weather at the halfway house. And that’s just the beginning….. Hats off to Gill, Helen, and Penny, who bravely took over the shift, battling torrential rain and chilly winds, all after conquering their own 18 holes earlier today. Your courage and commitment are beyond inspiring!

Big thanks also to everyone who contributed food, drinks, gazebos, chairs, and flowers, making the day extra special. Shoutout to Liz and Mel for handling the registration and Barbara for her efforts in selling raffle tickets ahead of the game.

Thanks also to Wyndam Collins for kickstarting the day on the first tee and to Jed our diligent ball spotter. And last but not least, a big happy birthday to our captain, Sarah Waring, who celebrated her special day yesterday.

Despite the weather challenges, the day was an immense success, and we’re confident that many will return next year to enjoy our brand-new facilities and clubhouse.
