The annual Greens v Board competition unfolded on the golf course under a clear winter sky. The event, which has become one of the highlight’s on the club’s winter calendar, saw not only an exciting competition but also a true sense of community as a couple of staff members joined the Board team, turning the competition into a genuine club event.
Despite a few water spots scattered across the course, players were treated to an exceptional day of play, with the course maintaining its excellent condition and the greens looking absolutely immaculate.
This year’s match carried an air of expectation as the Greens team, riding on the back of consistent success in previous years, approached the competition with confidence. However, the day took an unexpected turn as the Board team secured a decisive victory with a final score of 3.5 to 1.5, surprising many and adding a new chapter to the storied history of the Greens v Board rivalry.
In a friendly atmosphere, Neil Thomas, representing the Greens team, graciously presented the hard-fought trophy to Club Captain Mick Seal during the post-game presentation held in the the clubhouse
