The club’s charity initiative, the Alzheimer Forget Me Not Appeal, has successfully raised an impressive £12,500. This remarkable achievement was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Captain Mick Seal, who partnered with Ladies Captain Gill John to rally support from the entire club community.
The cheque was handed over to Kirsty from the Alzheimer Charity. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the substantial amount collected, which will undoubtedly make a meaningful impact in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. The funds raised will contribute to vital research and support services for those affected by the condition, reinforcing the importance of community involvement in charitable endeavors.
Captain Mick Seal took the opportunity to extend his thanks to all club members, with a special mention for the ladies’ section, Rabbits, and Seniors Strollers. Their unwavering support and generous donations throughout the year played a crucial role in reaching this impressive total.
Additionally, the Captain would like to acknowledge all visitors to the club who contributed to the appeal. Each donation, no matter how small, helped to create a collective effort that has made a real difference.
As the club continues to promote awareness and support for the Alzheimer Forget Me Not Appeal, members are encouraged to keep participating in future fundraising activities. Together, we can continue to support those in need and work towards a brighter future for everyone affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
