Tenby Golf Club’s Seniors team enjoyed a strong start to the season with a convincing 5.5–2.5 victory over Glynhir at The Burrows last Tuesday, marking a successful opening match for new captain Martin Spurrin.

With a deep pool of experienced players to choose from, Tenby fielded a confident side keen to impress their new skipper. Spurrin, partnering Mick Seal, set the early pace with a comfortable 5&3 win over Arnallt Evans and Hong Moon in the opening match.

However, Glynhir responded well, taking victories in matches two and three to briefly swing momentum their way. Tenby’s strength and local knowledge of the course soon told in the later matches, with the home side securing four wins and a half to seal an overall 5.5–2.5 triumph.
