Tenby Golf Club recently held a Chinese and Quiz Night to coincide with the Chinese New Year.
The new Clubhouse was packed and, prior to the quiz, all the contestants loved the tasty Chinese meal prepared by chef Duncan and his catering staff from The Links restaurant.
15 teams took part – each having four, five or six members. The quiz comprised 10 rounds of 10 questions each, plus a bonus round of 20 i.e. there were a maximum of 120 points on offer.
Hissing Sid were sixth with 65 points. Joint fourth were Chicken Trotters and Harbour Crew with 67 points each. Deep Seekers were a creditable third with 69 points. However, there were two outstanding teams who were neck to neck throughout the evening.
Hong Kong Fuey were runners up with an excellent 81 points. However, the victorious team were Slow Train to Delhi with a magnificent 82 points.
Charities benefit from quizzes held at Tenby Golf Club and in this case generous donations were made to the Paul Sartori Foundation and Motor Neurone Disease Association, both very worthy causes.
