Tenby Golf Club’s Burns Night celebration was sold out well before the event and the revellers weren’t disappointed. A fantastic evening of traditional Scottish food and drink saw the clubroom buzzing.
An outstanding 3 course meal which included such delights as, Cullen Skink, Haggis neeps and tatties, followed by cranachan, was washed down by glasses of whisky. There were several highlights during the evening, firstly Kirsty Jenkins, from the Swansea Pipe Bank, piped in the haggis, and Tenby’s own Laura McQueen gave the traditional address to the ‘Great chieftain o the pudding race’
A Scottish based raffle was well supported and £185 was raised for the Captain’s Charity, The DPJ Foundation. Thanks to those who donated prizes and for the generosity of those who attended.
The event was superbly organised but Diana Dredge who’s hard work made the evening a great success.
