On Saturday 11 January, the club hosted the qualifier for the prestigious Daily Mail Foursomes. Unfortunately, only eight pairs participated, which was disappointing given the event’s reputation as one of the premier foursomes competitions in the UK.

Despite the cool and windy conditions, winners Ross James and Owen James delivered an exceptional performance, scoring an impressive 39 points, well ahead of the competition. The only other pair to come close to their handicap was Rob Morgan and Rhys Jones, who scored 34 points.

A big thank you to all the players who supported the competition. We wish Ross and Owen the very best of luck in representing the club this year.

It is believed that Tenby last claimed victory in this event during the 1970s, though I’m open to correction if anyone knows otherwise.
