On Thursday 15 February, our club sparkled with excitement as we kicked off our first Charity Curry and Quiz Night in our newly renovated clubhouse.
Following a delicious curry courtesy of The Links Restaurant, over 70 participants took part, each playing a role in raising over £300 for the Alzheimer’s Society’s Forget Me Not Appeal.
Claiming victory with an impressive 74 points was ‘Team Anacronames’, comprising of Diana Dredge, Rebecca Naden, Simon Gough and Diana Gough.
Trailing closely behind was the team ‘Hoof Hearted’, composed of Richard & Rebecca Noyce, Nick and Gwen Allen, alongside their daughter Nel.
In third position was ‘Autumn Tour’, comprising Paul Davies, Phil Carpenter, Peter Turton, Mark Edwards, as well as Andy and Janet Milne.
The feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees expressing their eagerness for the next social event.
