The Junior Open this year was staged in sunny but very blustery conditions. The course had been superbly prepared by Jamie and his team to welcome 70 young golfers to Tenby links.
There were five competitions in all: White box Medal for the Steve Sutcliffe Memorial Cup, Red box medal for the Barbara Shaw Memorial Trophy followed by a 18 hole yellow box stableford and a nine hole competition off the black boxes. To round it all off there was a five hole flag competition off a shortened course for our beginners. Every golfer was then treated to a meal on completion of their round.
Nett results were:
White Box: 1st William Andrew’s Radyr Nett 66, 2nd Ethan Evans Neath nett 69 3rd Hobie Bagley Neath nett 69
