Tenby B went out of the Ping Mixed Foursomes, on Wednesday afternoon, when they lost to Cardigan Golf Club.

The hilly Milford Haven course was in very good condition and I would like to thank the Professional, Tom Hilling, for organising the tee times.

Angie Gottwaltz and Roger Schooling opened the batting for Tenby, receiving 2 shots, but their opponents proved far too consistent and eased to a 4 and 2 victory. Linda Tordoff Evans and club captain, Mick Seal suffered the same fate, and the 5 shots they had to give proved the deciding factor.

Alison Daniel and Ping team Captain, Brian Jones, were all square on the 15th tee when they agreed on a half point as their match was a dead rubber, Tenby having already lost the tie. Giving 11 shots to the Cardigan pair proved hard work and only by playing par golf allowed them to stay in the game.

Brian congratulated Cardigan Golf Club on their win and wished them luck in the next round.
