Tenby B faced yet another away draw in this team competition, this time at Cradoc Golf Club, just outside Brecon where they fought hard but in vain.
Local knowledge of the slower greens proved decisive. The course was in great condition and for most part the weather was dry, allowing Tenby to enjoy the beautiful views of the Brecon Beacons, if not the golf!
Roger Schooling and Tim Poole were the only team to come away with reputations in tact. They were 2 up for long periods, but in the end the Cradoc pair clawed their way back and halved the match.
In the second and third matches Chris Beecher and Wyndham Collins, Brian Jones and Allen Watts were given putting lessons by their opponents and lost 6 and 5, 4 and 3 respectively. In the last match the Cradoc pair were 2 under par when the match finished.
Brian thanked the Cradoc captain, Derek Osborne, for their hospitality and wished them luck in the next round.
