The inclement weather couldn’t dampen the spirits of 177 golfers from all over the country, who took to the links on Tuesday 9th July. There was a steady stream of golfers from 7.30am until 3.30pm, and to quote the famous Spaghetti Western the golf was Good Bad and Ugly!
Leading the way was home player Stephen Williams with 40 points, closely followed by Kevin Watson from Haverfordwest and David Rees from Fairwood Park on 39 points. The wooden spoon was won by a golfer from Creigiau GC with 11 points, who will remain anonymous !
This very successful golf day, which raised a large sum of money for the seniors section and the club, and it couldn’t have gone a head if not for the work of the Seniors Committee, and the volunteers from the seniors section who gave up their time as starters, ball spotters ☔️, and score card recorders. A special mention must go to Derek Cole, the man who pulled the whole thing together. An unenviable task, performed very professionally.
The results for the day.
