Easter weekend at Tenby Golf Club saw the Mixed Section stage the annual Brooks Cup Foursomes competition. Conditions were extremely challenging, with strong winds and squally showers throughout the day, so the scores returned were particularly creditable. Only four pairs managed to finish on or above par
Dave Morris and Sarah Phillips finished fourth with 36 points. Ann and Wyndham Collins, who had held the clubhouse lead for much of the day, posted 37 points, but were later matched by the late starters Angela and Jon Large, also on 37.
The eventual winners were Fair Ball and Alan Morton, who came home with an excellent 39 points.
