Thirty ladies from Tenby Women in Golf recently enjoyed a fabulous two-night golfing trip to Bryn Meadows, organised by Captain Helen Hughes and Vice Captain Louise Hill.
The tour had everything Welsh golf is famous for, challenging conditions, beautiful scenery and plenty of laughs along the way. The ladies started in almost winter-like weather, wrapped in hats and waterproofs, before finishing the trip under glorious sunshine on the final day. Bryn Meadows’ testing parkland course proved a great challenge throughout.
Day One winners were Linda Evans, Ruth Goldwait and Julie Llama, while Day Two was played as a team event. Runners-up were Diana Dredge, Ann Collins and Ella Harley, with overall victory going to Helen Hughes, Louise Hill and Vee Davies, whose superb 45-point round was one of the golfing highlights of the trip.
As always, though, it was about far more than the golf. From evening celebrations and singing to shared stories, laughter and friendship, the trip perfectly captured the warmth and camaraderie that make Tenby Women in Golf so special.
A huge thank you goes to Bryn Meadows for their wonderful hospitality, excellent food and beautifully presented course, which helped make the trip such a memorable few days away.“
