Saturday saw a fantastic turnout for Captain Heather Morgan’s Charity Day Open, supporting the Paul Sartori Foundation, a local hospice-at-home charity close to Heather’s heart.
The day was packed with action as 28 teams from across South Wales tackled our stunning links course in a fun Step-Aside Scramble format. Praise poured in for the course, food, and warm Tenby welcome.
Highlights included 18 twos, one on the par-4 15th. Nearest the Pin winners were Randal Miles (12th) and Tenby’s Sue Griffiths (6th), with Longest Drive honours going to Matthew Troath (7th) and Janet Jones (14th).
Gross scores took the main prizes, with winners Simon Merrick, Paul Baker, Gary Diplock and Mark Allen (South Wales Police Golf Society) posting a superb 65-10-55. Thanks to Gravells Garage of Kidwelly for sponsoring the top prize and showcasing their cars.
With all 18 holes sponsored, raffle support from Paul Sartori volunteers, and generous prize donations, nearly £4,000 was raised. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made it happen.
